The holiday season might look a little different on the West Coast this year, but that won't stop us from embracing holiday cheer. Our real estate agents are excited to create new traditions with our families and friends by scouting out the best holiday light displays around Ventura County. Mix up some hot cocoa, bake some cookies, create the ultimate Christmas playlist, and take a drive to these dazzling holiday light displays around town.
- Bakersfield Christmas Town — 3801 Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301
While we do have plenty of amazing Bakersfield homes for sale, we wish that we could live in Bakersfield's magical Christmas Town. Located inside the Pioneer Village at Kern County Museum, Santa Claus will spend December making his toys at Christmas Town and invites you to stop by. Drive through the dazzling mile-long light display and snap a photo with Santa at the end!
- HolidayLights at CALM — 10500 Alfred Harrell Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93306
The California Living Museum has adapted to our new normal by transitioning their popular HolidayLights at CALM into a drive-thru experience. All proceeds will benefit CALM, so be sure to grab a few treats at the concession stand before beginning your drive. Make sure your radio is tuned to 98.7 FM to hear all the wild noises of this winter wonderland.
- Christmas Tree Lane — 4537 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA 93704
If you're disappointed that Fresno's historic Christmas Tree Lane is not hosting a walking night this year, here's some news to regain your cheer: they'll still host drive-thru nights so you can enjoy the show from the comfort of your car. Start at Shields Avenue and make your way up Van Ness Boulevard to Shaw Avenue, snapping photos of over 100 decorated homes. Make sure you pack snacks in the car; previous years have had attendances of more than 30,000 people each night.
- Holiday Fantasy of Lights Show —1121 S. Chance Ave., Fresno, CA 93702
For the first time, the Big Fresno Fair will host a Holiday Fantasy of Lights Show all December long. This winter wonderland has it all: amazing light displays, holiday music streaming, hot cocoa and treats, and much, much more. All you need to do is fasten your seatbelt over your favorite ugly sweater and enjoy a magical drive. We suggest arriving early so you can scope out a few Fresno homes for sale before the festivities begin.
- Dodgers Holiday Festival — 1000 Vin Scully Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90012
The World Series Champions are about to hit another grand slam with their Dodgers Holiday Festival. This drive-thru holiday light show takes place just outside of the stadium entrance and features fake snow and LED video displays. The Blue will also have fun interactive displays that honor both the holiday season and their historic baseball season. Open until Christmas Eve, it's the perfect way to cap off a day spent looking for Los Angeles homes for sale.
