Beer Lover's Day Breweries - Bakersfield, CA - Watson Realty

Calling all beer drinkers! Tuesday, September 7th is a special holiday that you'll want to celebrate. Beer Lover's Day is a day to imbibe and enjoy this magnificent drink in all of its forms. You can surely celebrate at home with a great beer, but if you're out looking at Bakersfield homes for sale, we highly recommend stopping by one of these local breweries for a pint.

  • Dionysus Brewing: 6201 Schirra Ct. Ste. 13, Bakersfield, CA 93301
    Dionysus Brewing
has a large outdoor patio, making it a great place to enjoy a beer with a group of friends. While they don't serve food, there is often at least one food truck on-site or just down the street, and they allow customers to bring outside food onto the patio.

Dionysus Brewing has a great selection of sours. Their Super Funkadelic is a gose ale brewed with sea salt and coriander. The Berlinersfield, brewed with key lime and hibiscus, is another top choice among sour lovers. And of course, you can't go wrong with their Up, Up, Down, Down Pilsner, a balanced and summery beer.

  • 2nd Phase Brewing: 1004 19th St., Bakersfield, CA 93301
Owned by a biologist and chemist, 2nd Phase Brewing takes a unique approach to beer making. They're always experimenting with new techniques and ingredients, pushing the envelope to create some incredible brews. Their tasting room has an industrial vibe and is decorated with unique items like periodic tables and chemical symbols.

One of the top choices at 2nd Phase Brewing is the Es-So-Fancy Golden Ale, a classic Mexican-style beer served with chili lime salt on the rim. The Blueberry Pomegranate Seltzer is a great choice if you're in the mood for something lighter.

  • Temblor Brewing Company: 3200 Buck Owens Blvd. Suite 200, Bakersfield, CA 93308
If you'd rather sit down at a brewery that serves food, Temblor Brewing Company is the place to go. They have a great selection of starters that are perfect for sharing. The Giant Soft Pretzel and the Roasted Garlic Hummus are both good choices. For those with larger appetites, the Beer-Battered Chicken Tenders and Prime Rib French Dip are phenomenal.

Top beers at Temblor Brewing Company include Under a Blood Orange Sky, a Belgian-style witbier, and Almond Brown Ale, a traditional English ale. Guests also love the Key Lime Kettle Sour, which is made with real lime puree.

  • Crusader Brewing Company: 5880 District Blvd. Ste. 8, Bakersfield, CA 93309
Crusader Brewing Company is the creation of Chris McEnulty and Bailey Hale. They don't serve food, but there are usually food trucks nearby during lunch and dinner hours. Dogs are welcome on the patio.

Top choices at Crusader include Pillager, an aptly named Viking Saison, and Nobility, a classic pilsner. IPA lovers are fans of Illuminated, a West Coast IPA ringing in at 6.3% ABV.

  • Bootlegger's Craft Pub & Eatery: 955 Oak St., Bakersfield, CA 93309
It's hard to say what's better at Bootlegger's: the beer or the food. Either way, it's a great place to celebrate Beer Lover's Day.

Top menu choices at this gastropub include the deep-fried pickles and stacked mac & cheese, which comes topped with pulled pork. In terms of the beer, you can't go wrong with the Fat Tire or the Apricot Wheat. They offer flights if you have trouble choosing just one.
